Company History

Curt Holsinger is the owner/operator of Timber Tree Care LLC. He has been climbing trees since he was at least three years old.  In 2006, Curt graduated from Northern Michigan University with his bachelor’s degree in “Outdoor Recreation Leadership and Management.”  Being located in Marquette, this fueled his love for the outdoors and also for climbing things, with rocks as the primary avenue there.  During the summers of college, he worked as a day camp counselor for Chippewa Nature Center and then continued on to work there for 11 years full time as the Manager of Natural Resources. While there, he began to “grow” more of a love for trees.  

In 2014, he planted a seed in the treecare world and created TIMBER! Tree Care LLC as a side gig.  This allowed him to branch out and combine his climbing, rigging and chainsaw skills with his passion for people and trees.  In 2017 he ended up leaving the Chippewa Nature Center to follow Jesus on a deeper adventure.  Part of this on-going journey currently includes caring for trees as his full time employment.  In 2020, he climbed higher and became a certified arborist through the International Society of Arboriculture.
